Summit County singer included in ‘American Idol’ Top 14
Kaibrienne's 'Zombie' performance earns her a place in 'American Idol' Top 14
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Monday’s live broadcast of “American Idol” season 22 showed 14 contestants advance, while six were sent home. One of those who made the cut? Summit County’s Kaibrienne Richins.
As the evening unfolded, contestants found themselves either in the “Danger Zone,” needing to perform again to secure a spot, or in the “Victory Zone,” where they celebrated their advance to the next voting phase.
Viewer votes initially determined the fate of 10 contestants, after which judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie selected an additional four from the Danger Zone to proceed.
Kaibrienne performed an emotional rendition of The Cranberries’ “Zombie.” “American Idol” returns on Sunday, April 21, at 7 p.m. MDT, with the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” round.
