Community input sought at upcoming Cedar Crest Village Overlay meetings

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Eastern Summit County Planning Commission has announced two upcoming public meetings regarding the Cedar Crest Village Overlay:

  • April 18 – 6 p.m., Ledges Center, Coalville
  • May 16 – 6 p.m., Ledges Center, Coalville (no final action is scheduled for this date)

History of the Village Overlay

The Summit County Council established the Village Overlay in 2018 to encourage community cooperation. This initiative aims to reinvigorate existing non-incorporated communities within Eastern Summit County. On April 19, 2019, the Summit County Planning Department received a proposal for the Cedar Crest Village Overlay Master Planned Development and Rezone. As of Sept. 28, 2023, the Cedar Crest Village Overlay has received a favorable recommendation from the Eastern Summit County Planning Commission.
