Business in the front, fitness in the back, connection throughout— the evolution of The Beau Collective

PARK CITY, Utah — Like many Park City entrepreneurs, Whitney White Kozlowski took it upon herself to fill a gap in the community’s offerings. The lifelong athlete and volleyball player created The Beau Collective, a HIIT-style fitness space that not only prioritized health but also fostered a community for parents to young professionals, and anyone in between and beyond.

“As the program developed, I wanted a smaller group focus. I always loved being around teammates and how being on a team always brought something special out of you,” Kozlowski said.

Programming for teams of 12 was set up based on a 3-month commitment to a specific day and time combination— the programs sold out in one day.

“We grew from there and took over the barn at the old Colby School. Every team started to develop its own personality. I wanted it to feel like a commitment that I’m showing up for me and my teammates.”

The Beau Collective (also known as ‘Beau Co’) continued to expand, with over 300 people on the roster, a custom app, and veteran coaches Christa Anderson, Kelsey Brown, and Rachel Kleinschnitz.

Kozlowski found that emphasizing season-long commitments rather than drop-ins resonated with the community, creating a special bond among participants.

But it wasn’t just the workouts that were hooking people in. Beau Co went beyond a conventional gym experience by investing in a retail and lounge space for teammates to gather before or after their 45-minute HIIT class. With a fridge stocked with seltzer waters, beer, wine, and snacks as well as teas and coffee it was a space to connect.

“I think finding these types of relationships is sometimes hard to find when you’re in the throes of parenthood and young professionalism,” she said. “I’m really grateful because I wouldn’t know these people any other way. We’ve really put a lot of emphasis, value, time and space into having the shop and the social room.”

In 2021, in a big move, The Beau Collective shifted gears to its new home in the Outlets Park City. In order to survive the pandemic and remain a mainstay for the community, the Beau Co team pivoted, leaning more heavily on the shop side of the business, to embody and fuel fitness, retail, community, and #locallove.

“We think the fusion of the camaraderie, amazing playlists, and space to gather after the workout has been our real differentiator for the last decade.”

Not just a fitness haven, Beau Co serves as a versatile community space. From fundraisers and workshops to private events and business forums, the Outlets Park City location has become a hub for various activities (bonus: ample parking).

Kozlowski expressed her excitement about providing a platform for individuals and groups to share their gifts, fostering a sense of togetherness.

The front half of The Beau Collective offers “gear, gifts, and goods.” The hospitality driven CREW (10-20 local moms,  grads, and teens) make up the force behind the classes and retail operations.

She said, “we are all committed to making the experience through our doors uplifting, positive and unique everyday— basically we want to make retail and fitness as much fun as we can”

The shop is consistently bringing in new, fresh product. “We’ve really taken some liberty to do retail differently.”

The Beau Collective’s shop complements its fitness offerings. Boasting brands like lululemon, Free People, Spiritual Gangster, Aloha, Outerknown, Goodr, and more, the store provides a diverse range of products for all. The retail experience at extends beyond mere shopping; it’s an ever-changing, vibrant encounter that enhances the overall visit.

Located next to the Nike Factory Store, Beau Co has hosted fundraisers for Park City Cheer and the National Charity League; private workouts for weddings or birthdays; family parties; business holiday parties; Wim Hof workshops; Vin 7000 wine tastings; and other events.

New to the programming are three new classes: Lifty, yoga, and Breathwork. Lifty classes with Rachel Kleinschnitz are held Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m., focusing on strength training with weights. Yoga is offered on Tuesday and Thursdays at noon to counterbalance HIIT and strength training, or if you just need a nice stretch. Breathwork on Sunday evenings at 6:15 p.m. led by Madeleine Hackett will cool you down from the weekend and set your week ahead up for success.

The Beau Collective offers an experience that’s both challenging and welcoming. Beau Co offers your first trial class for free, the focus is on creating an inclusive atmosphere for lifelong athletes or someone new to town or looking for a new work out. After your first free trial class, enrollment is on a month-to-month basis.

The journey of The Beau Collective is far from over, promising a future filled with growth, community engagement, and the relentless pursuit of a healthier, connected lifestyle. The ever-present Grateful sign hangs in the flagship location as a testament from the team to its athletes, from the athletes to their community, and loving where you’re local.
