TREW’s Community Film Project seeking hometown filmmakers
UTAH — Last winter, Portland, Oregon-based TREW selected ten films that showcased communities, stomping grounds, and what it truly means to “Stay TREW.” The TREW To You Season 1 winners are the Factotum Project team. Season 2 of the TREW To You Tour is seeking applicants.
The season one winners are taking home $10,000 and are the first-ever winners of TREW’s Community Film Project. The all-women Factotum team primarily resides in Bend, Oregon, with Mt. Bachelor’s Woodward and Peace Park as their playground. You can view their segment here.
Season Two of the TREW To You applications are now open until January 5. The grand prize for Season Two winners includes $15,000. Pit Viper, Evo, Ten Barrel Brewing Company, and Super Pacific Campers are sponsoring the tour and other prizes.
TREW To You is all about opening the doors for anyone and everyone to share their perspective & passion for the mountains.
“Ten teams will be selected from the applications, given eight weeks to film and four weeks to edit during the 2024 winter season. In the fall of 2024, TREW will take the final edits on the road for a full TREW To You film tour, visiting each team’s hometown and showcasing their hard work with their local communities. Viewers, both at tour locations and upon digital release, will then have the chance to vote for their favorite film. The winner of the community vote will ride away with the grand prize of $15,000.”
Last year, the tour came to Salt Lake City for the “Hijos de Primavera.”
