New local artist gallery invites you to their opening reception Dec. 29 and 30

PARK CITY, Utah — The Arts Council of Park City and Summit County invites the community to the soft opening of a new local artist gallery. Join the artists for this free reception from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 29 and 30 and enjoy their creations. This show will be on display through Jan. 7, 2024.

The studio artists are Sherry Elshaug, Kati Gyulassy, Olga Hegner, Rhonda Hypio, Alexandra Jicol, Karen Kendall, Juanita Marshall, Nina Miller, and Emily Miquelon.

Local artists can apply for participation in the Arts Council’s gallery program. Hurry, the deadline is Dec. 29. The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is looking for Summit County visual artists to participate in the CREATE PC Gallery Program for their Winter/Spring 2024 Exhibition.

The gallery is at 1500 Kearns Blvd., unit F110, behind Tupelo. It is now open Wednesday through Sunday from 12-6 p.m. This is a curated show featuring nine resident studio artists and two gallery visionaries, Kelly Gallagher and Mitch Bedke.

CREATE PC is a program facilitated by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County that provides two floors of opportunities for local artists—artist studio space and gallery exhibition space. A local artist collective geared towards creating community among local artists, CREATE PC showcases Summit County creatives, giving them a platform to grow and thrive.

The Grand Opening of the gallery is scheduled for Jan.16, 2024, with a reception planned for Feb. 1, 2024. More information will be available in January.
