Smashing pumpkins: Now it’s a Park City event

There will be a range of stations where you can squash, smash, and smush your pumpkins, ensuring they are composted with the help of Momentum Recycling

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Recreation invites families to join them for a new and exciting event that combines fun and responsible composting — the Pumpkin Smash.

This is a way to recycle some of your Halloween decorations.

The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the PC MARC, 1200 Little Kate Road, Park City.

Head to the east end of the MARC and with your jack-o-lanterns and other pumpkins. There will be a range of stations where you can squash, smash, and smush your pumpkins, ensuring they are composted with the help of Momentum Recycling.

Music, engaging yard games, and hot cocoa to keep you warm, will also be available.

The event is free.
