Heber gets new four-way stop after two teens were critically injured on roads
The new stop is expected to substantially alter the flow of traffic along Mill Road
HEBER CITY, Utah — A new four-way stop will be installed at the intersection of 600 South Mill Road and 1200 East in Heber City.
According to a statement from the Heber City Police Department, the new four-way stop has received authorization from the city and will be installed soon. The new stop is expected to substantially alter the flow of traffic along Mill Road.
Heber City Police officers will be deployed to serve early warning measures and enforce the new four-way stop. Additionally, state funded resources will be used to increase crosswalk enforcement throughout the city.
“It is important to be cognizant that law enforcement officers will be actively present in the area, ensuring compliance with crosswalk regulations and safety measures,” said a statement from the Heber City Police Department. “Your cooperation in adhering to these traffic changes is greatly appreciated.”
Two teens have been critically injured in separate auto-pedestrian accidents on Heber roads this fall, the first in the crosswalk at the intersection of 500 East and 1200 South, and the second while crossing Main Street.
