Intermittent closures on Rail Trail in Hoytsville through Oct. 26

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail near Creamery Lane in Hoytsville will close intermittently until Oct. 26.

According to a statement from Summit County, this portion of the trail will close Tuesdays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day due to delays caused by excess groundwater.

“Mountain West Pipeline is using the Rail Trail for access to a construction project,” said a statement from Summit County. “There will only be a hard closure when equipment is moving. Please follow the directions of flaggers and construction crews if using the area.”

Mountain West will also work on the project this Friday through Sunday, Oct. 1.
