Christian Center executive director Rob Harter stepping down — and up
PARK CITY, Utah — Jim and Susan Swartz, the founders and co-chairs for the Christian Center of Park City, announced on Wednesday the promotion of Rob Harter to co-chair of the board for the Christian Center as he transitions from executive director of the center after serving for more than 12 years.
“This move continues the long-term vision both Susan and I have had for the Center as a humanitarian community resource center for Summit and Wasatch counties. Many of the programs, counseling, and services the Christian Center offers came to fruition under Rob’s leadership and this promotion is a natural fit for Rob at this point in his career. In Rob’s role as co-chair, he will focus on developing new strategic projects within our Counseling and Wellness services, something both Susan and I are very excited about,”
said Jim Swartz in a statement. “Rob will continue as executive director until a new leader is found”.
“I have loved being the executive director for Christian Center of Park City; continuously being inspired by our mission along with the amazing work of our team who serve our community every day so well,” Harter said in the statement. “And once our new executive director is hired, I am excited to champion our new initiatives as board co-chair.”
“Susan and I have been strategizing for a couple of years now around how best to grow our programs to meet the expanding needs of the community along with providing new, innovative services within the Counseling and Wellness Center,” Harter continued. “Moving into a coaching and consulting role allows me the ability to really focus on new ventures for the Center.”
“Rob’s leadership has been filled with creativity, solution-oriented approaches, and with his Utah expertise and relationships he has developed over the years he has successfully guided the teams throughout the years,” Byron Russell, a long-term board member, said in the statement.
The board will begin the search for a new executive director over the next several weeks.
