SNAPPED: Summit County Fair – Little Buckaroo 2023

COALVILLE, Utah — It was an exciting night on Thursday, August 10, at the Summit County Fair in Coalville with the Little Buckaroo Rodeo timed events for children 14 and under.

This pint-sized rodeo attracted riders from all over the state, many of whom live on ranches and farms, and often compete locally in 4-H events.

Hazel Robbins, the Little Buckaroo Queen of 2023, said that to earn her title, she had to compete in many different stages. Along with the rodeo, there was a speech, impromptu questions, and interviews. “The event is small, relaxed, and close-knit. I get to see friends and bond with my horse Superman,” she says. “And I love how the other kids look up to me and bond with their horses too.”
