Cool down as Teton Gravity Research drops new ‘Legend Has It’ trailer

JACKSON, Wyo. — As record breaking heat continues across the U.S., take a minute and cool down with the new trailer for the 2023 ski flick from Teton Gravity Research, “Legend Has It.”

Filmed in British Columbia, Alaska, Colorado, Pakistan, Wyoming, the Palisades and Patagonia, the film features some of the top snow sport athletes in the world, such as Parkin Costain, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Tom Ritsch and many more. Local Ski legend Jeremy Nobis even has a cameo in the opening scene.

“Ski lore is riddled with stories, sometimes of unknown origin, describing plausible but extraordinary past events,” said a press release from Teton Gravity Research. “Often shared on chairlifts, the skintrack, or over a beer, these legendary tales, whether it be mythical storm cycles, heroic feats, or whispers of fantastical terrain, all contribute and shape our present experience.

“For 28 years Teton Gravity Research has been traveling the globe with the best athletes to the most incredible locations often based on this fabled history to uncover the experience… and sometimes creating legends of our own along the way.”

“Legend Has It” will premiere in Salt Lake on September 18 at Red Butte Gardens. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the film will start at sunset, around 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available here, and are $25 for adults, and $10 for youth ages 16 and under.

Teton Gravity Research recently opened a store on main street in Park City.
