Utah Bobsledder Kaysha Love on European podium again

SEGULDA, Latvia — For USA Bobsled, the last World Cup of the season brought victory for the stars and stripes.

During her first-ever competition on the Sigulda track, Kaillie Humphries of California took home gold in Women’s Monobob with a time of 1:46.52. This final victory secured Humphries the title of the overall winner in Monobob points for the World Cup season.

In 2-Woman Bobsled, Humphries again made the podium with teammate Kaysha Love of Utah with their third-place finish time of 1:41.97. Team Kaillie Humphries was awarded a third-place title for their overall performance in 2-Woman for the season. 

Due to her excellent performance this weekend, Humphries also was awarded the overall winner in points for Bobsled Combined Women by the IBSF for her total achievements in both 2-Woman and Monobob.

“It was an awesome way to close off the season with Love by making the podium on this new track in 2-Woman as well as in Monobob. It was a team effort, and everyone worked super hard. To end the season with two podium finishes is truly an incredible feeling!” Humphries said in a statement.

“This was so exciting and a great way to end the season! I am looking forward to what the next season will bring.” Love said about her final podium finish with her Olympic teammate in a statement.
