Individual in critical condition after cardiac arrest at Basin Recreation Fieldhouse

PARK CITY, Utah — An individual is in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse this morning.  

According to a statement from the Park City Fire District, crews were dispatched to the fieldhouse at approximately 6:47 a.m.

A bystander was performing CPR on the patient when critical care paramedics and firefighters arrived, and the patient’s pulse returned on scene.  

The patient was transported to the hospital in critical condition. 

“Thank you to the staff and patrons of Basin Rec for their assistance,” said Sean Briley, battalion chief.

“CPR saves lives,” said a statement from the PCFD. “CPR, especially if administered immediately after cardiac arrest, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival.”
