‘The Sandlot’ cast to celebrate movie’s 30th anniversary in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY — The cast of “The Sandlot,” a cult classic movie that was filmed throughout Utah, will return next month to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary with a special showing.

Tom Guiry who played “Smalls,” Chauncey Leopardi who played “Squints,” Marty York who played “Yeah Yeah,” and Shane Obedzinski who played “Repeat,” will be in attendance at the celebration.

After the movie, the actors will participate in a Q and A and discussion of the film, and share behind the scenes insight on their experience making the movie.

The event take place March 18 at 7 p.m. at the University of Utah’s Kingsbury Hall, and is open to the public. Ticket prices range from $19 to $129. Visit the University of Utah website for more information.
