Police Log: A home break in more upsetting than a horror film

Thursday, October 6

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a home near Oakley to investigate a burglary. Around three hours before their arrival, the complainant said she was taking a shower when her dogs started barking. She could hear heavy footsteps walking in her home and see a human shadow peering under the door and moving through the living room. She then heard her sliding glass door open and then close.

The complainant found that her checkbook and a pair of sunglasses were missing.

There is no suspect at this time though deputies are checking with neighbors for potential camera footage.
