Park City Chamber of Commerce launches free Business University program

PARK CITY, Utah – The Park City Chamber of Commerce | Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the launch of Park City Business University, a free educational program aimed at helping local businesses. On Wednesday, August 10, the organization will host its first lunch-and-learn with a training session focused on business development and personal empowerment.

“Great business development is born from ongoing education, profitable marketing strategies, successful planning, strategy, and implementation,” said Scott House, VP of Partner Services. “We want to arm our members and local businesses with actionable and impactful skills and tools to be as prosperous as possible, and this comprehensive program will enable participants to absorb knowledge and insights from some of the best coaches and entrepreneurs in the area.”

During the first event, attendees will hear from Brent Lechtenburg, an expert on business and personal empowerment. As a 7th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Lechtenburg will share how he used his martial arts school, Personal Mastery Martial Arts, as a laboratory for personal development training, business systems, and his philosophies on personal mastery and flow state management for 25 years. The lunch-and-learn will be held at Blair Education Center at Park City Hospital on Wednesday, August 10. Check-in opens at 11:00 a.m., followed by a training session from 11:30-1:00 p.m. Open networking opportunities will be available before the event from 11:00-11:30 a.m., and after the event, from 1:00-1:30 p.m.

“As a business owner in Park City for the last 14 years, I’m grateful for all of the incredible work the Park City’s Chamber and Visitors Bureau does for our community,” said Casey Metzger, owner of Top Shelf Utah. “The Business University program is a powerful example of how the organization not only helps bring customers to our local businesses but also how it provides actionable resources that empower our businesses to thrive and serve up memorable experiences to our customers. Continued education is key to running a successful business, especially in unpredictable times.”

Park City Business University is a year-round program for members offering monthly, in-person events. Each meeting will be held at a different location in Park City and will take place on the first Wednesday of each month. The second meeting will be held at Blair Education Center on Wednesday, September 7, at 11:30 a.m. MT.
