Park City Fire District welcomes new recruit class

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Fire District (PCFD) has officially brought in Recruit Class #15.

Your newest Park City firefighters include Matthew Bouffard, Cody Hughes, Shelly Jones, Dylan Kerr, Adam Paulson, Harrison Read, and Porter Royce.

The recruits participated in a 14-week camp, testing in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, ADO Pumper, ADO Aerial, AEMT, along with the traditional 15 laps of Utah Olympic Park stairs.

After intensive training, the new firefighters are ready for the field and are committed and eager to embark on a new career of helping others.

“Our department has faith in you and know you will succeed,” Battalion Chief Max Dosher said. “All journeys start with a single step up the UOP stairs.  By committing to that first step, you have proven you will do everything you can to enhance the quality of life, make a positive difference, provide excellent customer service, and safeguard our community”

“You have what is needed to be a firefighter,” PCFD Chief Bob Zanetti said. “Be ready, its up to you to step up and do it.  Give 100% at work and 100% at home.  Congratulations!”

“Thank you to the dedication of Cadres Captain Joe Sharrar, Engineer Shaun Brigdon, Paramedic Mike Dean, along with many other instructors from PCFD, for the many hours they put into providing a camp for our fighters to be well trained for a successful career,” PCFD said in a statement.

“We want to welcome our new firefighters to the Park City Fire Department family.”
