Summit Bike Share offering half-off annual memberships

PARK CITY, Utah — Summit Bike Share is now open for the season and is offering a significant discount on annual memberships, beginning at just $50 for one year of unlimited 90-minute rides.

Summit Bike Share is a transportation system that offers bicycles to users 24/7. Utilizing a network of 20 stations with over 190 bicycles throughout Summit County, individuals can use the bikes for either commuting, running errands and even recreational activities.

Stations can be found across Park City and the Snyderville Basin, with additional docks at Jeremy Ranch, Quinn’s Junction, and the Summit County Justice Center.

Normally $96, Summit Bike Share is offering nearly half-off their annual membership for this season. With a membership, individuals can use bikes as many times as they want per day. The first 90-minutes of every ride is included in the annual membership fee with an additional $0.18 charged per minute after the initial 90. However, if members return the bicycles to a docking station and start a new ride, the timer is then reset and they will not be charged the additional amount of change per minute.

Notably, members must return any bike to a docking station or they’ll be charged a $50 recovery fee. In addition, any bike left out for 24 hours will be considered stolen and a $2000 fee will be charged unless reported differently.

Summit Bike Share also offers a pay per ride pass, monthly member option and employer membership package. For those interested, additional information and membership can be found here.
