Scott was transported via Airmed to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake after ski patrol responded to the accident near Temptation.

After further evaluation, he was pronounced deceased by University of Utah medical professionals.

“Park City Mountain and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of this guest,” Park City Mountain Vice President and COO Mike Goar said in a statement.

Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies responded to the resort on Friday and obtained witness statements from ski patrol, however, no none of them observed the accident. From the information gathered, SCSO says the death appears to be accidental.
