Top 4 for 3 Park City Schomaker sisters in UOP Luge Youth/Jr. Nationals

PARK CITY, Utah — The season is now over for three Park City sisters after the USA Luge Youth and Junior National Championships at the Utah Olympic Park.

Molly Schomaker came away from the Youth competition with three third-place medals ending the sliding season in third place overall.

Muriel Schomaker placed fourth in her Youth race.

Macey Schomaker, who competed in the Junior National Championships, ended her season with a fourth-place finish in the Youth A race putting her fourth in the nation overall.

They competed in singles against athletes who represented VT, NY, PA, MA WI, and IL down the 2002 Olympic track as singles and doubles luge competitors. Olympian Jon Owen coaches all three sisters. Rhea and Kevin Schomaker, the girls’ parents, enjoyed watching their daughters luge on this national level from close up as this season they both became officials in the sport.
