WASHINGTON — History was made in D.C. on Wednesday.
Utah Senator Mitt Romney finally met Salt Lake City-based singer Ritt Momney, whose original name is Jack Rutter.
The story behind the name?
“There’s no reason, man,” Rutter told the Deseret News last year. “We were high school kids. It was sort of a subversion — a ‘stick-it-to-the-man’ sort of thing… At this point, it’s whatever.”

After meeting Rutter and the other members of his band, Sen. Romney said “imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.”
