Silver Creek package theft under investigation

PARK CITY, Utah — Update: 3/21

In the morning hours of Sunday, March 13, three suspects stole approximately 15 to 20 packages and several boxes of mail on Silver Creek Drive.

The suspects allegedly broke into a secured area by climbing through a package drop where the packages were originally delivered. A secure door was opened from the inside, and the theft proceeded to take place.

Surveillance video and still photos of suspects were provided to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).

In the surveillance, suspects appear to be an adult male and female working together to enter the secured mail building through a package door and then leave the building with numerous parcels and mail.

Suspects drove to and from the building in a mid-90s Chevrolet 1500 pickup, gray and blue in color with an Idaho license plate.

The case is active and has been forwarded to investigations for follow-up.

Deputies are currently looking into the incident as the three suspects have yet to be identified.
