Construction begins on new Park City park, Trailside East

PARK CITY, Utah — On Thursday, equipment began clearing the ground in the Trailside area for the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District’s (Basin Rec) new 10-acre park, Trailside East, a long-planned expansion of the existing Trailside Park facilities.

Conveniently located within walking distance of an elementary school, a church, and multiple neighborhoods, the newly expanded park, upon completion, will strive to enhance the recreation opportunities for Park City. It will include a restroom, two multipurpose fields, two pavilions, and 127 parking stalls in an effort to alleviate the current situation of on-street parking infrequently encountered during larger events.

Kenny Seng Construction (KSC), the company on the project, anticipates completion in September of 2022.
