Controlled burns planned on Treasure and Rossi Hills
PARK CITY, Utah — Prescribed burns are being scheduled by Park City Municipal for the Old Town and Lower Deer Valley areas, respectively, of Treasure Hill and Rossi Hill open spaces.
Under the direction of the Summit County Fire Warden, Park City Municipal has contracted Alpine Forestry to conduct controlled burns of slash piles in the Treasure Hill and Rossi Hill open spaces over the next few weeks. Burning operations strictly conform to county permitting, weather conditions, and air quality regulations.
As part of ongoing wildfire mitigation, piles will be burned to promote hazardous fuel reduction, defensible space creation, and forest health. The area trails will remain open during burning operations.
