Prescribed fire planned in Big Cottonwood Canyon this weekend

BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — The U.S. Forest Service Salt Lake Ranger District fire personnel plan to burn roughly 250 slash piles in the Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon from October 23-25 (weather permitting).
