Get Outside and Breathe with Park City Yoga Adventures

PARK CITY, Utah. — Park City Yoga Adventures (PCYA) blends outdoor exploration with yoga. The owner, Julia Geisler, founded PCYA with a goal in mind, to create an outdoor lifestyle for both clients and guides. Year-round adventure options highlight the superb access to nature in Summit and Wasatch Counties while cultivating space to slow down and breathe.

Before launching PCYA, Julia worked with a variety of guiding operations. Including the Oakley School, a therapeutic boarding school, where she worked with teens leading hikes accompanied with outdoor yoga. Julia’s time guiding youth served as an inspiration to found PCYA.

Her vision is to create adventures that are unique, memorable, and accessible to everyone.

“Our bookings are experiential… Families, bachelorette parties, corporate groups are trying to create this experience where they get people together to do something that they are going to enjoy together.”

The intimate groups set the space for a playful experience, “People are less intimidated when they are with their own family and their group of friends they are willing to try something new and have fun doing it,” Julia explains.

PCYA customers choose from a variety of excursions, each offering a distinctive taste of Park City. “I want guests to have a good experience outdoors… And to go to some places in the mountains that are unique,” Julia explains.

Her mission is manifest in adventure options. The paddleboard yoga sessions are at Midway’s Homestead Crater, a 10,000-year-old natural hot spring. The mineral-rich waters are a picturesque blue and make for a paddleboard yoga experience unlike anywhere in the world.

Yoga hikes explore local trails, flora, and fauna coupled with an asana practice. Julia hopes guests, “Learn to connect to open spaces and begin to understand how these places are there for us in the first place… Non-profits maintain the trails, or land conservancies put the land into conservation easements, or public lands.”

Julia’s mission is to create a lasting impression, so clients can draw on their adventures and tap into the PCYA motto ‘get outside and breathe.’

“We are always doing some kind of centering in the outdoors and trying to connect to the senses in nature. Hopefully, guests can come back to that. They can drop into the present moment no matter where they are and find that bit of peace and calm that exists in nature,” she says.
