Mini-Miners Cheer Clinic a success

PARK CITY, Utah. — For the fourth straight year, the Miners Cheer team ran their Mini-Miner Cheer clinic. Every year the clinic has gotten larger and larger, with more than 50 Minis joining the squad for a half time performance at the football game against East Friday night.

The Minis also had the opportunity to walk with the Cheer team down historic Main Street at the Miners Day Parade on Labor Day Monday.

During the clinics, the Minis, ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade, work and learn from the current squad coached by Ashley Baer & Alyssa Kenniston. For two days of practice, the minis get to spend some quality time and learn the cheers the Miners use at all the games. They also received t-shirts and Poms.

Coach Baer said to Christopher Baer of the Miners News, “The Cheer team always looks forward to holding the clinic every year as it is a chance to give kids in our community an opportunity to participate in something we all love to do.”

With smiling faces all around, it’s safe to say the clinic was a huge success. The Miners Cheer Team extended congratulations to all the Minis who participated.
