Director of Water Resources moves to DNR
SALT LAKE CITY — Todd Adams, former Director of the Utah Division of Water Resources, recently accepted a new position as a Deputy Director for the Utah Department of Natural Resources.
Adams has served with the water division since 1990.
Candice Hasenyager will assume his former role.
“Todd had a critical role in planning, conserving, developing, and protecting Utah’s water resources for 31 years,” the Utah Division of Water Resources said in a post.
When Adams’ career began, Utah had a population of 1.73 million. Currently, Utah has over 3 million residents.
He started working with water hydrology and modeling before current software advancements.
“He understood the importance of water law and legislation, and would often mentor staff to help them understand water policies and statutes. The Division wishes him well in this new adventure, and the department is fortunate to have him. Above all, we are grateful for his service and count him as a friend.”
