Later on in the morning, it fell back to the number six ranking — however its air quality index (AQI) increased to 153.
An AQI of over 150 constitutes an unhealthy level of concern for all groups. “Some members of the general public may experience health effects,” an airnow.gov description says.
Park City’s AQI as of 10 am this morning is 138 — which is labeled as unhealthy for sensitive groups.
It’s recommended for sensitive groups to wear a mask outdoors. Everyone should seek to limit outdoor rigorous exercise. It’s also recommended to close your windows to avoid dirty outdoor air and to run an air purifier.
