Only two more weeks to apply to Leadership Park City
PARK CITY — Leadership Park City is currently accepting applicants for its 28th year.
In its conception, the idea was to “simply bring people together” according to Myles Rademan, who founded the program.
“It’s no secret sauce,” Rademan said. “It’s just simply getting people together who are interested in being in the community and giving back.”
The curriculum has changed over the years as Park City has. “We certainly didn’t expect the kind of growth we see right now,” he said.
The program has always included a fundamental focus on local and state government.
Participants can also expect to learn about all kinds of public policy issues affecting the City today — such as affordable housing, open space, the arts, and growth management.
Throughout the course of the year, there will be field trips, group discussions, lectures, and hands-on learning opportunities.
Last year because of the pandemic, the program was forced to adapt to a remote environment.
Minda Stockdale, who works in the Executive Office at Park City, said they are looking forward to getting people back together. “It’s really about networking and meeting other members of the community who are engaged and who are interested in the future of Park City,” she said. “It was difficult that way, we really missed meeting in person.”
You can apply here. The application takes roughly 30 minutes to complete.
Applications are due at 9 pm, on Friday, August 20.
