It’s County Fair season!

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Summit County Fair starts this week on Friday, August 6.

At 5 pm on Friday, food and drink booths will open. At 7 pm that night, the Demolition Derby will take place — tickets are sold out.

Several exhibitions (home & fine arts) will open up the following Monday and Tuesday. Food booths will be open for most of the week excluding Monday.

The Open Horse Show will be on Tuesday, August 10 at 4 pm in the Fairgrounds large and small arena.

The bulk of events (parade, rodeo, music entertainment) will take place the following weekend, on August 13 and 14.

Senior’s luncheon will be on Friday, August 13 at 12 pm in the Entertainment Tent.

The parade will take place on Saturday, August 14 at 10 am in downtown Coalville on Main St. You can register to be in the parade here (deadline is August 12 at 5 pm).

The Miss Summit County Pageant will take place tomorrow August 5 at North Summit High School. The winner will be awarded a $6,000 scholarship to the University of Utah as part of the Browning Scholarship.
