J.J. Watt visits Park City and shoots hoops at Jazz training facility
PARK CITY, Utah. — Arizona Cardinals defensive end, J.J. Watt spent some time in Utah this past week. The NFL lineman found time to visit Historic Main Street in downtown Park City.
Watt’s wife, Kealia Watt, is a Utah native. She was born in Draper and graduated from Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. Kealia won an NCAA national championship with the University of North Carolina and is now a professional soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars.
It appears that the couple was in Utah to celebrate the holiday weekend, however, DeseretNews reported that there have been some conversations between Watt and Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith about a potential business venture, “Ryan Smith, JJ Watt interested in buying Real Salt Lake?” Although there have been no formal offers to acquire Real Salt Lake, there have been some tweets about the pricing of the soccer club and an interest in reviving the Utah Royals FC, a National Women’s Soccer League team that has been moved to Kansas City.
Whether it was a business trip or a family weekend, the Watts enjoyed ice cream on Main Street in Park City and J.J. had a shootaround at the Jazz training facility in Salt Lake.
