Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame induction ceremony to take place Aug. 25

PARK CITY, Utah. — The Class of 2020 and 2021 will be inducted into the Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame at the Alf Engen Ski Museum on August 25.

The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. at the museum which is located at the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center at Utah Olympic Park. The 2020 ceremony was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

2020 Inductees

Randy Montgomery (Deceased), Ski Sport Innovator, Utah – a “master of the art of winter sports promotion.” Montogomery directed the Utah Sports Authority and the Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation.

Howard Peterson (Deceased), Ski Pioneer, Utah – Peterson moved the headquarters of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association to Utah, and established the Soldier Hollow Foundation.

Larry Warren, Ski Sport Innovator, Utah – Warren reported for KUTV-TV in Salt Lake City for 27 years.

2021 Inductees

Wesley “Wes” Deist (Deceased), Ski Sport Innovator, Idaho – Deist coached the KIFI and Kelly Canyon Ski Teams for 52 years.

Leif Odmark (Deceased), Ski Sport Innovator, Idaho – “Mr. Sun Valley” is considered a cross-county skiing legend.

Bruce Tremper, Ski Sport Innovator, Utah – Tremper was the director of the Forest Service Utah Avalanche Center for almost 30 years.

8:00 p.m.             Induction Ceremony – Tent on Museum Patio

Seating is limited

$100 per person- Reception and Dinner
