Free gun locks from the Heber City Police

HEBER CITY, Utah. — The Heber City Police Department is giving away free gun locks to anyone who wants one. The most important responsibility of a gun owner is firearm safety and security when children are present. To obtain free gun locks, please visit the Heber City Police Department at 301 South Main, Heber City, at any time during business hours until supplies run out. For more information, call 435-654-0757.

“The safety and security of your firearms is one of your most important responsibilities. Please always secure your firearm and ammunition separately so that they are not accessible to children. Whenever your firearm is not in use, please keep it unloaded and locked.” – Heber City Police

“We’ve seen lots of gun and ammo purchases in the last few months, we want everyone to be safe, suicides and mental health are on the rise and we don’t want these firearms to end up in the wrong hands, especially children,” said Detective Tammy Thacker of the Heber City Police Department
