SNAPPED: Park City Artist Paints Mural at Corner Sports

PARK CITY, Utah. — Local artist AD Allegretti has been painting a mural at the Corner Sports store at the base of Park City Mountain for the past few days. She uses acrylic and house paints to add color and detail to her designs; and said it will take about a week to complete the project. The mural depicts Jupiter Peak, a snowboarder (circa the 2000s) riding the ‘I Ride Park City’ terrain park, old-timey skiers from the resort area’s first days as Treasure Mountain, and the Silver King mine complex as seen from the base of the Bonanza lift. Earlier this year she completed a mural for outdoor retailer Black Diamond Equipment on Main Street.

“Murals really do bring people in. I really like having my artwork up at local businesses,” Allegretti said. “It’s a good feeling working for the community and in the community, making spaces more lively.”
