With approximately 11.64 million visitors in 2021, the state parks saw a million more visitors than the previous year for a 10% increase. Notably, 2021 marked the second consecutive year that total visitation at Utah's state parks surpassed the total visitation of National parks in the state. For the year, the National parks recorded 11.3 million visitors.

Just stepping on the podium, among some of the greatest athletes in the world, seeing your flag being raised, grabbing that medal and putting it around your neck, its just something different and no words can explain how happy you are in that moment,” Dawson said.

Ski patrollers at Park City Mountain will be starting at a wage of $21 per hour next season, owner Vail Resorts announced on Monday. It comes after contract negotiations between Vail and the ski patrol union at Park City Mountain, which had over 50 bargaining sessions, primarily due to the fight over starting wages. An agreement was reached earlier this year with a $19 per hour starting wage.
