Park City’s Carson Tabaracci to leave Utah, enters college transfer portal

SALT LAKE CITY — On Thursday, April 28, it was announced that former Park City Miner running back Carson Tabaracci had officially entered the college transfer portal with intentions to transfer from the University of Utah Football program.

Having committed to the program last fall, Tabaracci just finished his first spring camp with the program as an early enrollee freshman. Despite what appeared to be a successful camp, as Tabaracci was mentioned multiple times by several members of the coaching staff, in addition to a standout performance in the spring game, Tabaracci has elected to take his talents elsewhere.

“I’m sure we’ll have some guys that enter the portal,” head coach Kyle Whittingham said, speaking in general about the transfer portal. “Sometimes it’s a mutual decision where we feel it’s better for them to move on, and they feel that they can get in the best situation to play sooner.”

While Tabaracci hasn’t made an official announcement or decision on where he will be transferring to, the young freshman is a highly talented athlete who received a plethora of offers from some of the nation’s top programs during his initial recruitment. Originally, Tabaracci had 24 total offers which included programs such as Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, and Ohio State.

Time will tell where Tabaracci ends up, but chances are it will be another top-tier program that can cater more to his needs.
