Ski Utah CEO Nathan Rafferty inducted into Utah Tourism Hall of Fame

PARK CITY, Utah — Ski Utah President and CEO Nathan Rafferty was inducted into the Utah Tourism Hall of Fame, recognizing his long-time work promoting the state’s ski industry and uniting Utah’s 15 resorts around shared goals.
Rafferty was one of three people named to the 2026 Hall of Fame by the Utah Office of Tourism and the Utah Tourism Industry Association. State Sen. Evan Vickers and Shayne Wittwer, CEO of Wittwer Hospitality, were also inducted during a ceremony at the annual Utah Tourism Conference held at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley.
Rafferty joined Ski Utah as an intern in 1994 and became president and CEO in 2005. In that role, he leads the organization’s marketing, strategic planning, and government relations efforts, representing Utah’s ski industry and supporting collaboration among the state’s 15 ski resorts.
His work also includes regional tourism partnerships and air service development, helping connect Utah’s mountain destinations with national and international visitors.
The Hall of Fame, established in 1985, recognizes individuals whose leadership and long-term contributions have strengthened Utah’s tourism industry.
“Senator Vickers, Nathan, and Shayne understand that a thriving tourism industry begins with the people and communities who welcome visitors every day,” said Natalie Randall, managing director of the Utah Office of Tourism. “Through their leadership, they have supported local businesses, created opportunities for Utahns and helped more people discover what makes our state special.”
