Republican candidates to meet voters at Pinebrook event Oct. 6

PARK CITY, Utah — Republican candidates running for state and county office will meet with voters at an Oct. 6 campaign event in the Pinebrook area.

The meet-and-greet is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pinebrook Park, 8026 Pinebrook Road.

The event will feature Rep. Tiara Auxier, the Republican incumbent running for Utah House District 4, and Suni Woolstenhulme, the Republican candidate for Summit County clerk. Utah State Auditor Tina Cannon is scheduled to attend as a special guest, according to the flyer.

Auxier is running against Democratic candidate Zane Woolstenhulme in the Nov. 3 general election. Utah’s official 2026 candidate filings list Auxier as the Republican election candidate and Zane Woolstenhulme as the Democratic election candidate for House District 4.

Auxier has represented House District 4 since January 2025. Republican delegates selected her in a special election to replace former Rep. Kera Birkeland, who resigned effective Jan. 10, 2025. Utah Republican Party records show Auxier won the party’s Jan. 11, 2025, special election.

House District 4 includes all of Morgan and Rich counties and most of Summit County. In Summit County, Park City proper and Summit Park are among the areas outside District 4.

Auxier earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and worked as a tax accountant before serving in the Legislature. Her campaign lists fiscal responsibility, local control, and education among her priorities.

Suni Woolstenhulme is running against Democratic incumbent Malena Stevens for Summit County clerk. Summit County’s official general election notice lists Woolstenhulme as the Republican candidate and Stevens as the Democratic candidate.

Woolstenhulme says Summit County has been home to her family for more than 20 years. Her campaign lists streamlined county services, government transparency, voter participation and election administration among her priorities.

Cannon has served as Utah state auditor since Jan. 6, 2025. She previously served as deputy state auditor in 2024 after joining the office in 2022. The Utah State Auditor’s Office says Cannon is the first woman elected to the position.

Joe and Lisa Wall are hosting the Oct. 6 event. The flyer says organizers will provide a light dinner and drinks and ask attendees to RSVP by Oct. 4.
