Artist submissions requested for historic Park City Snow Globe Art Stroll
PARK CITY, Utah — The Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA), in partnership with the Arts Council, announces the return of the community’s annual Snow Globe Art Stroll, Main Street’s festive holiday tradition to be on display Nov. 26 through Jan. 4, 2027. Utah-based artists and artist teams are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m. MT on Oct.2. Resident Summit County artists will be given preference.
“Main Street’s Snow Globe Stroll has become a much-anticipated event for families and friends throughout the holiday season,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “We encourage Utah artists to submit their life-sized Snow Globe concepts and have the opportunity to showcase their imaginative art that will serve as the backdrop for wintry Main Street strolls and lively holiday shopping with our local businesses.”
This year’s theme is “Holiday Lights.” Artists are encouraged to incorporate holiday lighting into their designs, bringing the snow globes to life with a festive glow. The Park City and Summit County Arts Council is handling the applications. Any additional questions must be submitted by Sept. 25.
Artists will be selected and notified by Oct. 9. Once selected and contracted, they must go to Webb Productions in Salt Lake City to pick up the Snow Globe base. Artists will construct their artwork on top of the base and must ensure the artwork is securely anchored to the base before returning it to Webb Productions for the final installation period from Nov. 9-13 with the Webb team.
Artists will work directly with Snow Globe fabricators at Webb to ensure they successfully integrate their artwork inside the Snow Globes. Webb Productions will transport the completed Snow Globes to their installation sites on Park City’s Historic Main Street on Nov. 19.
Once deinstalled in Jan. 2027, the Snow Globes will be available at Webb Productions for artist pickup. Any creations not collected by Jan. 30, 2027, will no longer be the responsibility of Webb Productions or HPCA.
