PARK CITY, Utah — Rainbow flags, brass instruments, and a spirit of celebration filled the streets of Park City on Sunday as Summit Pride Foundation kicked off Pride Month with its second annual Park City Pride march and community gathering.

Participants met at Park City Mountain Resort’s Main Lot before marching to City Park, where the free, family-friendly celebration included live music, drag performances, food and dessert vendors, and booths hosted by local organizations.
Summit Pride originated as the Park City LGBTQ+ Task Force in 2021 and became an independent nonprofit organization in 2024. The foundation works to build connection, visibility, and belonging for LGBTQ+ residents and allies across the Wasatch Back.

Pride Month events will continue throughout June. Summit Pride will host a brunch with Seniors Out and Proud and the Park City Library from 10 a.m. to noon on June 23. CREATE PC Local Artist Collective will launch a Pride art showcase from 5 to 9 p.m. on June 26.

Deer Valley Resort will host its third annual Mountain Pride Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 28 at Silver Lake Lawn. The family-friendly gathering is free to attend, although guests will need a scenic ride or mountain bike lift ticket to access the lawn from Snow Park. Deer Valley will donate a portion of Mountain Pride Day lift ticket sales to Summit Pride.

Also on June 28, Park City Film will screen “Give Me the Ball!” at 6 p.m. The documentary explores the life and impact of tennis trailblazer Billie Jean King. A post-film panel discussion is planned, and the screening is presented with Summit Pride Foundation.
