PARK CITY, Utah — Summit Pride and Deer Valley Resort brought Pride Month to the mountains Sunday with Mountain Pride Day, a family-friendly celebration at Silver Lake Lawn.

The June 28 event featured yoga, a community Pride Ride, live music by the Will Baxter Trio, food trucks and on-mountain recreation. The free event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with hiking and biking available during normal resort operations.

Deer Valley said the event was designed as a day of “inclusivity, connection and belonging,” and the resort donated a percentage of Mountain Pride Day lift ticket sales to Summit Pride, the local nonprofit working to support LGBTQ+ visibility and inclusion across the Wasatch Back.

Summit Pride, which began as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce in 2021 and became an independent 501(c)(3) in 2024, describes its mission as building a more inclusive community where LGBTQ+ residents feel seen, supported and connected.
The event marked Deer Valley’s third annual Mountain Pride Day.
