Police Log: Armed robbery suspect arrested, meth arrests, moose on the move

A woman was arrested June 2 after deputies say she attempted to rob an Oakley convenience store with a knife, fled in a white limousine, and led law enforcement on a pursuit before being taken into custody. The incident, which also allegedly involved a confrontation with a runner and a hit-and-run crash, was among the most notable calls reported during the week.

Other incidents included drug arrests in Summit Park and Jeremy Ranch, repeated wildlife encounters involving moose and deer near busy roadways, and complaints about speeding e-motorcycles, trespassing mountain bikers, and loud music at local parks.

Construction cones were reportedly blowing across both lanes of S.R. 248, causing vehicles to swerve.

Incident: Suspicious circumstances
A resident reported finding an egg carton hidden in a stairwell after the area had previously been vandalized with eggs.

Saturday, June 6

Incident: Juvenile problem
Two boys on e-bikes were reported doing wheelies while riding on Holiday Ranch Loop Road.

Incident: Drugs
Deputies contacted a man sitting in a parked vehicle at a Summit Park gas station and allegedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested and booked into jail.

Sunday, June 7

Incident: Wildlife problem
A moose was reported running alongside the roadway near Round Valley Drive and Kearns Boulevard.

Incident: Traffic complaint
A caller reported a black Surron e-motorcycle traveling about 50 mph on Lowell Avenue and riding on nearby trails.

Incident: Drugs
During a traffic stop near the Jeremy Store, deputies reportedly found open containers, marijuana and methamphetamine. The driver was cited, and a passenger was arrested on methamphetamine-related charges.
