Park City Library seeks local authors for Wasatch Back Book Festival

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Library is accepting applications from local authors who want to take part in this year’s Wasatch Back Book Festival, an annual event that highlights writers from the region.

The festival will be held Oct. 3-4 at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. The local author showcase, which is part of a broader lineup of festival programming, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Authors who live in Summit or Wasatch counties, known as the Wasatch Back, are eligible to apply, as are regional authors whose work connects to the area.

Selected authors will receive a table and chair where they can sell books, share promotional materials and talk with festival attendees about their work.

Applications must be submitted through the Call for Authors form by Aug. 1. Organizers said applicants will be notified of acceptance or rejection within six weeks of the deadline.

The library said authors who have tabled at the festival in past years are welcome to apply again, though organizers hope to feature new voices this year as well.
