PARK CITY, Utah — Junction Commons is launching a free outdoor summer concert series called Junction Jam: Lunch Break Live, bringing live music to the shopping center’s park on Friday afternoons from July through Labor Day weekend.
The series features local musicians performing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays, giving area residents, visitors and workers a midday reason to step outside ahead of the weekend. Junction Commons is a 319,661-square-foot outdoor retail center in Park City.
“Summer in Park City is all about making the most of every moment, and Junction Jam: Lunch Break Live is the perfect way to slide into the weekend,” said Tom Schneck, senior vice president of marketing for Ignite Retail Partners, which manages the property. “Great music, lunch, sunshine, and a relaxed summer atmosphere — it’s everything people love about this season in one place.”
The series opens July 3 with an extended set from Mark Dee running through 2 p.m. in recognition of Fourth of July week. Regular Friday shows from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. continue through August with performances by Danny Nolan, Serenade Star, Ted Reedy, Justine Griffin and the duo Julia & Mari. The series closes Sept. 5 with an extended Labor Day weekend finale featuring Justine Griffin.
Food options at the venue include Jersey Mike’s, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Shake Shack, along with rotating food trucks including The Border, Hokulia Shaved Ice and Mountain Berry Bowls.
