PARK CITY, Utah — Summer is about to begin at Deer Valley Resort, with a full season of lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic chairlift rides set to open Friday, June 19. Season passes are on sale now, and registration is open for the resort’s newly expanded Women’s Ride Series and Kids Gravity Camp.
“We look forward to welcoming families and friends back to the mountain for summer operations at Deer Valley Resort,” said Deer Valley Resort President & Chief Operating Officer Todd Bennett. “Multiple pass options and expanded on-mountain value give guests the flexibility to enjoy the mountain however they choose all season long.”
Season passes on sale now
Summer bike products, including Bike Park day passes, season passes and lift-access packages, are available now.
New Pedal Pass required for Bike Park access
Starting this summer, anyone entering the Deer Valley Bike Park will need a Pedal Pass and a signed waiver. Revenue from the pass will fund trail maintenance, bike patrol, operations and guest safety initiatives across more than 100 miles of professionally maintained trails, resort officials said.
The Pedal Pass is available as a $12 daily pass or a $50 season pass. It is valid only during Bike Park operating hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, including Twilight Wednesdays. Riding Bike Park trails outside those hours is not permitted, and multi-use trails that do not connect to the Bike Park are not included in the Pedal Pass program.
Women’s Ride Series expands to three clinics
Building on last year’s program, the Women’s Ride Series is expanding into a three-part clinic series July 11, July 25 and Aug. 8. The series is designed for beginner to advanced female mountain bikers ages 16 and older and runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Participants get coaching from experienced female instructors at a 1-to-5 coach-to-rider ratio, along with guided rides and skill-development sessions. Each day begins with coffee and introductions at Carpenter Café at 9 a.m., followed by guided instruction from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is served on the Silver Lake Lawn from 1 to 2 p.m., and riders can take part in an open ride session from 2 to 5 p.m. The day wraps up with après at Carpenter Café from 5 to 6 p.m., including a gift for participants.
Riders can book the full three-day series online for $345 without bike rental, which includes a Deer Valley Summer Access Pass valued at $329. Resort officials said the package offers the best value for riders who want to keep practicing between clinic dates. Single-day clinics cost $115 without bike rental and are available only by phone at 435-645-6648.
Kids Gravity Camp returns for ages 10 to 14
Kids Gravity Camp will run July 10, July 24 and Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for riders ages 10 to 14 of all ability levels. The full-day camp combines professional instruction, lift-served riding and trail time in the Bike Park, with a 4-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio.
Each camp day includes a lift ticket, a sack lunch and access to full-face helmets and protective pads if needed, with discounted bike rentals available as an add-on. The three-day series can be booked online for $300 without bike rental and includes a Summer Access Pass. Single-day clinics cost $100 without bike rental and are available only by phone at 435-645-6648.
Scenic lift rides and hiking available all season
Scenic lift rides and hiking will be available via the Sterling Express and Silver Lake Express chairlifts. Each scenic ride ticket includes one free child ticket for ages 12 and under per paying adult. Guests can also join guides for a private hike to explore local trails and native plant life, or take a guided historical hike to learn about the area’s mining history.
