Attend annual Arts and Aging event with Jewish Family Service

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Open spots for registration remain for Jewish Family Service’s (JFS) fourth annual Arts & Aging Celebration on Thursday, June 11 for art, music, and refreshments. This will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sorenson Unity Center, 1383 S. 900 W., Salt Lake City. Jewish Family Service of Park City helps host this, and many other year-round activities and events which are well-attended by locals and visitors alike.

There will be a special audio-visual program at 6:30 p.m. which will feature performances by the Gleeful Choir – a chorus for individuals living with memory challenges and their care partners – as well as participants from JFS’ Exploring Creativity program. Then everyone will have a chance to make a little music together.
The art exhibit includes works from JFS’ Exploring Creativity class. It will be on display at the Sorenson Unity Center through July 7.
Also, Jewish Family Service offers free mental health counseling for individuals, couples, and families covered by Medicaid.
They care for the poor, the elderly, and the sick at JFS and help prevent people from falling through the cracks by being that safety net for those in financial distress via emergency assistance and food pantry. JFS’ highly qualified professional staff strives to provide the best programs and services for all, regardless of denomination.
