Search warrant served in Trailside leads to arrest in hit-and-run, road rage case

South Salt Lake police said the suspect was arrested without further incident, and investigators do not believe there is an ongoing public threat.
PARK CITY, Utah — Law enforcement officers served a search warrant near Highland Drive in the Trailside area of Summit County on Tuesday morning, arresting a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run and road rage incident in South Salt Lake and a separate fleeing investigation in Murray.
Officers from South Salt Lake, Murray and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office collaborated on serving the warrant, according to a statement from South Salt Lake police.
The investigation centers on a motorcycle rider linked to the South Salt Lake hit-and-run and road rage incident, as well as a separate incident involving fleeing police in Murray, police said.
The suspect cooperated with investigators and was taken into custody, police said. The suspect was arrested on charges of hit-and-run with a road rage enhancement and reckless driving. Additional evading-related charges from the Murray Police Department are pending.
Investigators do not believe the case poses any ongoing threat to the public. No further information was released as the investigation remains active.
