PARK CITY, Utah — Summit County nonprofits are raising money today through Utah Gives, a new statewide day of giving hosted by the Utah Nonprofits Association.
The 24-hour online campaign connects donors with nonprofit organizations across Utah through public fundraising pages, donor leaderboards, and matching gift opportunities.
Several organizations serving Park City and Summit County are participating.
Recycle Utah is among the strongest local fundraisers, raising more than $123,000 toward a $130,000 goal. The nonprofit supports recycling, hazardous-waste collection, sustainability education, community cleanups, and bilingual outreach.
Bridge21 Park City is raising money for neurodiverse housing in Park City. The nonprofit has raised more than $28,000 toward a $50,000 goal and is working to expand long-term housing options for neurodiverse adults.
Nuzzles & Co., based in Peoa, is raising money for animal rescue and welfare programs. The nonprofit has raised more than $8,500 toward a $20,000 goal.
Other Summit County-serving nonprofits on the platform include Peace House, the National Ability Center, and Holy Cross Ministries. Peace House supports survivors of interpersonal violence and abuse. The National Ability Center provides adaptive recreation and education programs. Holy Cross Ministries supports families through immigration and legal services, community health outreach, mental health counseling, and early childhood education, including the only certified Parents as Teachers program in Summit County.
Utah Gives organizers say the campaign is designed to raise both money and awareness for nonprofits working across the state.
Donations remain open today through the Utah Gives website.
