SNAPPED: Basin Recreation’s Easter egg scramble: 13,000 eggs gone in 30 seconds

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — If you’ve ever struggled to get kids to clean up after themselves, the scene at Willow Creek Park on Sunday might have left you speechless.

Hundreds of families turned out for Basin Recreation’s annual Easter Egg Scramble, and by all accounts, organizers delivered. Some 13,000 eggs were scattered across the park and disappeared in under 30 seconds, a feat that would make any parent equal parts impressed and envious.

The free community event, a Park City spring tradition, welcomed kids of all ages with baskets ready and energy to match. Teens ages 12 to 15 also stepped up as volunteers, helping the scramble run smoothly and giving older kids a chance to be part of the fun from a different angle.

Thanks to Basin Recreation for pulling off another egg-mageddon. See you next spring.
